FALL

20 minutes

It’s back. What are we going to do? Halloween and Thanksgiving plans must be made. Every year we make plans to do something different, and usually end up doing the same old thing! Let’s put a different spin on this recurring scenario.

Fall signifies a visual change, easily identified.  For some people who dislike change, it can create a roller coaster of emotions. It’s the beginning of a transition. From a weather perspective, it can be unpredictable, with unknown and unexpected events occurring. These events create many challenges, yet we rise to the occasion and continue to move forward. Let’s apply this concept to ourselves and relate it to Fall.

We spend the entire year absorbing, existing, and surviving the many challenges life throws at us. At some point we should avoid or remove ourselves from these burdensome events. If removal isn’t possible, and avoidance isn’t an option, allow’ these feelings to ‘fall’ off of you. It’s like an animal shedding old skin. Imagine a cleansing rainfall, washing away the challenges and negative emotions you’ve endured that have been weighing you down, physically and emotionally.

Moving forward, when you think of Fall,

  • Think of clarity of mind, the fuzziness is gone.
  • Consider options that may be available, for all situations, especially those you may have previously not considered or overlooked.
  • Appreciate the beauty in change and enjoy the experience of how it makes you feel.
  • Plan your transition for what you want for yourself for the next year.
  • View it as a beautiful new beginning to the next step in your life’s journey.
